Trip to the Isle of Lewis and Harris

The following are photos from a recent trip to the Isle of Harris and Lewis, one island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland with two names.

Callanish Stones, Isle of Lewis, Scotland. These stones were erected sometime between the years 2900-2600 BCE.

This sheep's wool will likely be transformed into a Harris Tweed outfit.

Gorgeous photographs. Despite having spent three years in Glasgow, I never made it up to any of the Scottish islands, let alone the Outer Hebrides. I must change this! Looking forward, hopefully, to reading your observations on this and other isles in the region.

One island, but Lewis and Harris are so different. The beaches on Lewis are stunning. I found the people of Harris to be much more welcoming. Harris tweed is also a very special product.
